| Headlining the Longmont Swing Festival was Mango fan Django, the only band to participate that is not from Boulder County. Mango fan Django hails from Colorado Springs. Archtop Eddy delivered his solos on a 1939 Gibson ES-150 -- the same guitar as used by Charlie Christian. Their set was a tasty mix of Django Reinhardt, modern jazz manouche, and Benny Goodman classics performed with grace and style. No one sat still. The pavilion was filled with dancing couples. Archtop Eddy, solo guitar Annie Lenoir, clarinet John Cabanellas, bass Don Doucette, rhythm guitar |
